Browse Forums Landscape & Garden Design 1 Nov 15, 2011 3:03 pm We are on a property and recently moved in - This is an old photo but i wanted some advice. We have a tiled alfresco area, and wanting to extend the area, so we have 2 outdoor areas. At the side closest to us we will have grass right up to the alfresco area Then to the right - there the 2 columns are we are going to extend it 7 m across and 7 m back to the house - at the end of the 7 m there is the laundry door, there will be a step up at the existing alfresco area so its only a step down from the laundry door rather than 2 steps. BUT my question is we are tossing up between a laying a slab and tiling it or going completely different and having a timber deck. I want the feel of 2 seperate areas - the upper lever will have an outside lounge etc and bbq etc, whilst the existing area will have the chairs and table. There both costing roughly the same so that doesnt matter Another thing while im leaning towards timber boards is that the existing tiles are really hard to clean - there a rough outside tile and with landscaping and the dogs walking all over them, im having the get the kartcher out everytime i need to clean them (every 2 days ) which isnt always an option on tank water. what to do....... We area going to build a raised garden bed up against the house to soften the new deck up against the house.... I hope i havent confused anyone http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff235/Jett0807/SAM_0674.jpg Our Acreage Build The Lakeview Lodge - Beechwood Homes 01/04/10 YES 2010 - Deposit paid 23/09 - PCI CANCELLED 28/09 - PCI - will it happen.-18 months later 07/10/11 - ITS OURS..WOOHOO Hi, as per the subject.
