Browse Forums Home Theatre & Automation 1 Aug 23, 2011 10:01 pm Hi, I have a quote for data cabling that I'm hoping to get revised tomorrow. Currently its >5K for 16 network points (CAT5E 2*8) plus RG6 points * 4, and some speaker cabling, digital antenna, AV cabinet and wall plates. Currently it might be including wiring for the alarm but it seems expensive. Can someone recommend me someone in Victoria to get a quote from ? I'm building in the South Eastern suburbs. I'm planning on data cabling, 1 double point per room * 3 bedrooms and 3 (or 4) double points in the study, and a couple for the lounge / family room. I did have in-wall speakers in my last quote but I don't strictly need them. RG6 / TV points are a nice to have as well. Thanks Re: Data cabling recommendation Victoria 2Aug 24, 2011 8:55 am I think I might be going with connectedliving. I haven't contacted them, but their website is slick. I emailed argustechnologies for an appointment twice without a response. I contacted techlife, but they turned me down, because my mid suburban build isn't part of a fiber/nbn community yet. 13-08 Moved in 13-05 Build restart 13-04 VMIA compensation 12-08 Builder liquidation 12-03 Fixing 11-12 Lockup 11-11 Frame 11-09 Slab 11-09 Start 11-07 Contract 10-11 2K deposit 10-06 Titled land Re: Data cabling recommendation Victoria 3Aug 24, 2011 8:57 am I could do all of that cabling/Antenna/wallplates for probably about half that amount... - PM sent...
