Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Anyone else building in Glenmore Ridge? 409Jun 07, 2012 12:03 am Hi everyone, we've finally got internet connected so I'm back blogging!!! We are really enjoying our new home and have completed everything except landscaping and fence!! Cass & Katie - your homes are nearing the finish line…..soon you'll be waking up in your new homes…it's the best feeling. I thought I'd be disorientated waking up the first morning but I wasn't! One thing that we keep forgetting is that bins go out on Monday night….we've forgotten twice already! whoops Hope to see you living a few streets away really soon Cheers Es Re: Anyone else building in Glenmore Ridge? 411Jun 07, 2012 6:45 pm Ess and Tim Well done.. all moved in - very exciting... Electrician was back today installed our very sexy batton lights So now all that is left is main floor tiling, another coat of paint inside. External painting.... Concrete And a few fix ups that we have identified that W have agreed to fix. Oh and the garage doors - forgot about that one.. Seems like so little to do but in the scheme of things it will still take a few weeks. Question for those who have moved in.. did you move in with a final occupancy certificate or an intrim one? If anyone can share some info that would be great. My boys love the new walking/bike track and are itching to get on there with their bikes and scooters. I am looking forward to take the puppy for walks along there too! Cass Re: Anyone else building in Glenmore Ridge? 412Jun 07, 2012 6:48 pm Anyone purchase next to one of these and not know it? I'm pretty sure I haven't and I would be pretty upset if I did and didn't know it. I honestly didn't see anything like this going up in this estate when we started looking early last year, perhaps something near the shopping centre but not right throughout the estate. http://www.glenmorepark.info/2012/06/07 ... more-park/ Re: Anyone else building in Glenmore Ridge? 414Jun 07, 2012 9:50 pm You should see what they have done to the vacant block next to me.. its been approved by the council for subdivision.... its a joke really... I am annoyed that builders have been allowed to buy banks of 4-5lots and then develop.... ie masterton, edgewater and eden brae and tribecca. Edgewater and EB, thankfully are pretty nice looking homes. But the mastertos and tribeccas seem to be bringing in a rental market.. large rental market to the area which is also disappointing...if I had known this ....... my decisions would have been different. But again on the flip side.. paying 530-600 per week in rent... hmmmm thats a fair bit of money. McDonald Jones are the only ones that have gone and scattered around the estate.. but they are a pretty damm good builder.. their homes look really nice! But on the otherhand regardless of this.. the positives are the walk/bike tracks are great and my kids cannot wait to ride, scooter, walk on them.... we are looking forward to living in our own home.. and for those who have built or done packages - your houses look amazing.... so that is my one and only rant/sulk about the estate.. but we still are looking forward to moving into our home. Re: Anyone else building in Glenmore Ridge? 415Jun 07, 2012 9:54 pm rosewood I believe they are some going up corner of bradley & glenmore ridge rd They will line the length of Bradley st along the Glenmore Ridge boundary apparently. http://www.glenmorepark.info/2011/11/24 ... your-area/ Hopefully the high rent keep the 'bad' tenants away lol Re: Anyone else building in Glenmore Ridge? 417Jun 07, 2012 10:37 pm How do you know it is for seniors? It's an eye sore I think. Poor access to any amenities especially if it is senior living. They don't really affect me so I am not too concerned, the thing that annoys me is that all these developments appear to have been organised before any of us even purchased land but were given little or no information on them. I feel for anyone that purchased on a neighbor lot and were none the wiser to their existence. Re: Anyone else building in Glenmore Ridge? 418Jun 07, 2012 11:04 pm the seniors living was in the stocklands map display in the sales office & also when I did a search on glenmore ridge there was a article to residents that they should be aware of what was being built in the area. I will see if I can find it again Re: Anyone else building in Glenmore Ridge? 419Jun 07, 2012 11:27 pm I think these are the DA you are referring to, stocklands lodged an objection to penrith council but not sure what has happened with it. http://ourhouse.theovingtons.com/wp-con ... ouncil.pdf A survey must’ve completed by a certified surveyor.
