Thanks Spooky. Do you mean the tiles range wasn't good or quality? Both. From memory, they were quite thin and a fairly cheapish tile in the included range. This woukd have been ok if the size and colour we wanted were available. In the end we upgraded to what we wanted in a white polished poecelain in 600 x 600 and we just paid the difference between the included and the upgrade. Was it a huge difference or a few hundred dollars? Mind you, can you believe it started off as 12k difference. But after i checked their measurements, AND also realised they had sneakily neglected to minus the price of the included range, it brought it down to just over 4k. They used the excuse that they were going off earlier plans. Yeh right! I keep telling you guys, you have to check EVERYTHING. Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 17636Aug 14, 2017 9:10 am Spooky8080 SnowLeopard Question about tiles. Did anyone ask for porcelain tiles as standard inclusion at Tile Direct? We went on the showroom tour and the staff at Tile Direct said porcelain tiles are not included and it's an upgrade. On the other hand, if you look at the Price List, the Plus Price includes GLAZED PORCELAIN TILES FROM NOMINATED RANGE. Yes we used the included porcelain tiles in the sapphire range but upgraded to a better polished porcelain tile as the included porcelain tiles were not that nice. Hi Spooky8080, We are also planning to do the same upgrade the polished porcelain..can you please tell what was the upgrade costed you...or the price range for the tile and workmanship Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 17637Aug 14, 2017 9:15 am we took everything out (carpet and tiles) get refunded around 10k. probably we weill spend 25k in total to do what we want (expensive tiles and floor) which would easily cost another 30k if we upgrade from clarendon. If not mistaken, Tile Direct only have Porcelain and Marbles, they don't even have Ceramics. You maybe talking to someone new staff there. But when you go to Marbles, its an upgrade. The only problem is that your inclusion only get 450x450. If you like to upgrade to 600x600, the cost is depend on the size of your house. My house cost 10K for the upgrade from 450 to 600. I am committed to purchase a home and Land package from Clarendon (High grove Box Hill ) I had my Land and Building (split) contract reviewed by my Solicitor. I was told that (SC53.1 ,53.2(a) ,54) way the clause is written in contract (in short; land contact says, house must be build with Clarendon home), I would find difficult to get my home loan approved. I had this claim confirmed with my mortgage broker (and he himself got a written confirmation from NAB,CBA, ANZ andWestpac) "not accept split contracts such as what is proposed by Clarendon" My original sales Agent was very helpful, but, unfortunately, he has moved on to another job. Currently I am getting different answers from Sales department people. I am wondering if anyone of you had this problem? . please help...... Thank you in advance Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 17640Aug 15, 2017 8:36 pm Bernardraj Hi All, hoping someone could help me out here .
