Visit my blog Clarendon Bronte 25 Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 17487Jul 12, 2017 6:12 pm wingzee Clarendon just revert back to us today saying we can't do appliances post-handover as otherwise no OC will be issued if no appliances are present during PCI? Anyone managed to get their own appliances and installed during after construction but just prior to handover? wingzee Just an update - CSC mentioned that there is no credits back for going with the following: - Laminated flooring (Platinum) over tiles and; - Mirror splashback over tiles for kitchen Did read some posts previously that some managed to get some credits back for both but no luck for us unless we are able to provide the job number for those who managed to be credited back Anyone? We got CDC approval and have pretty much signed off everything except for: 1. Colours (consultant reverted with quotes: Smeg's steam combi oven was quoted $3k - Ikea's AEG-equivalent is only $1.2k, will try to get appliances done post-handover; bidet wall-faced toilet suite + changes to ensuite of $2k) 2. Kitchen (got YHK to revise their quote as they came back with $32k for upgrades in Kitchen & cabinetry in Laundry! - bulk of the costs being handleless $3k, Createc finishes $3k and cabinetry + stone benchtop in Laundry + broom cabinet $5k) 3. Blinds (EHI quoted $14k for double blinds throughout all window + stacker door coverings + 3x Amplimesh security doors to Laundry & stacker doors) - gonna see how much can we save from items above before reverting Hope to sort out everything in 2 weeks' time so that they can commence the build. Hey wingzee, did you manage to install your own appliances? I'm hoping to do the same as I'm doing an oven tower and the 900mm oven that comes free doesn't fit (I need to change to the 600mm AND pay extra for it which is ridiculous). Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 17490Jul 13, 2017 6:27 pm Mrs RS Hi ajedi2k hope you had a great day going through your house. . Thanks. It was a good morning. Ss didn't rush us , let us go around and blue tape spots with issues. In my case mainly cosmetic. Got a height issues with one of the storm water drains. Then ss came and notes down. Have to say he picked up things that we didn't. He got us to sign on the spot and email the defect list. My appliances going in on 24/7 Hand over supposed to be 28/7 🤞 Believe it or not I only manage to take two pictures while I was there. Too busy with the walks totally forgot lol. Would you mind sharing a few of the defect items? I'm a bit concerned that I'll pick nothing up at PCI when theyre blaringly obvious. I'm a bit concerned that I'll pick nothing up at PCI when theyre blaringly obvious. Just keep your eyes open. I went with my wife. It's always good to go with one more person (more eyes), start from one end of the house, take your time, SS would've picked up and fixed all major issues by then or he'll tell you upfront what's left. mine were mainly paint defects. dirt marks by tilers, skirting board paint on wall. bathroom ceilings dirty after sealing was done. check all taps(one of garden taps were leaky), check lights and switches. check outside brick work, they would've done at least 3 brick cleans by then. because of this its common for some brick mortar to be washed away which needs refilling. There is nothing special about these and I imagine literally every stair installer will be able to do this. 1 6712 The two 15mm holes are obviously not compliant.
