Due to time and timetabling issues, I'll be fixing my colours, electrical and home security on 3 consecutive days, so I think my mind will be overloaded with information!! Does anyone have any pictures of what is the standard range of tiles provided by Clarendon, for their evolution range? My build blog here Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 17364Jun 22, 2017 8:43 am Buildingourfirstnest thanks wentworth33. my main concern is that I might have to change my colour selections based on what tiles i eventually choose (as we want full height tiling in the bathroom too but don't think we can spend $15k like you have). You can visit tile direct before your appointment and they will tell you what the standard range is. Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 17365Jun 22, 2017 11:37 am We just finished our tile appointment last weekend Buildingourfirstnest. Was generally an enjoyable time, although can't recommend visiting prior to your appointment and getting a few ideas down. With upgrading tiles, don't stress too much about how much tiles cost to upgrade from the silver to gold range. We were silver, and picked the tiles we liked and only cost us about $400-500 a room to upgrade to big 600x300 tiles. Exception to this rule is anything with a rectified edge. They will charge you the cost to upgrade the tile, as well as about an extra $30-40 a square meter to install them. When you're talking rectified, it's easy to start spending an extra $4000+ a room. We upgraded to floor to ceiling tiles in our ensuite and that cost us about $4000 to do (not using rectified tiles). We upgraded the tile to a gold range tile, as well as the size. The cost to upgrade to floor to ceiling tiles isn't a fixed price. It depends on the size of the bathroom and the tiles you choose. Does anyone have any pictures of what is the standard range of tiles provided by Clarendon, for their evolution range? 3 consecutive days are very tiring, hope you survived.. You should have give yourself a gap to digest all the quotes on each session. Anyway, in regards of Tiles, you will need to go to Tiles Direct before you go to Colour Studio to get the look and feel, otherwise, you will end up blind. PS: I have lots of Pictures from Tiles Direct, but its look different in the picture, there is no point for you to see the pictures. Tiles direct will not provide you with the pricing. You should be able to go on Saturday morning and browse. Try to talk to others (there will be many people browsing at the same time), talk to them to exchange info and some of them will provide you with a very good opinion for yourself. The only matching that you need for your tiles and colour studio is the benchtop and "Drawer / Cupboard" located in the kitchen, powder room and bathroom. There is nothing else it will impact your colour or tiles. I saw that you are building Ferndale 31 MKII, which I love so much, but I end up building wentworth. If you are on Saphire package, your standard main tiles is 45x45, which you can choose everything that you can think of, but if you wanna upgrade your main to 60x60, it will cost ranging from 8K to 15K just for ground level. (ie. depending on the tiles you selected). My ground floor cost me 10K. The other 4-5K is upgrade Laundry tiles (approx. $470), height wall tiles in powder ($1,800), bathroom ($1600), splashback ($355) and trim ($150). Hope this info helps you. Or am I the only one who did haha. I did ground floor for $10500. European Bordeaux oak. I removed scotia as well. I'm considering engineered timber but with 3 boys I'm worried they will destroy it pretty quickly. Not sure if laminate is the better way to go with them? Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 17372Jun 22, 2017 12:41 pm Ezza78 I'm taking a gamble with timber, two kids and a dog, can sand back 4 times! Building with Arden Homes. If you have damage to one board do you have to sand the whole lot? Or can you just do that board? Cheers We originally were planning on doing it after handover however We upgraded to the gold underlay.. we picked the last trolley.. just one less headache to worry about after handover Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 17378Jun 22, 2017 9:56 pm jellytot Hi All, Is anyone planning on installing carpet after handover? If so how much did Clarendon credit? Cheers If you are planning to install a carpet again after the handover, my suggestion, you better off upgrade it with Clarendon, the price wont much different plus you will get more headache. As far as I know, the credit is very low, it may not cover the difference.
