Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 16624Jan 13, 2017 8:52 am I'm of the same conclusion re the carpets from the builders range. Especially seeing some at the Clarendon displays where they look shocking! So, how much $extra are you guys paying on top of the standard range in total? Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 16625Jan 13, 2017 8:56 am amiarm Micdeez amiarm Anyone attended tender appointment in Clarendon Sydney office recently? How to prepare for tender appointment? Any tips. Hi amiarm, we signed up for tender appointment too, booked in for Feb 17th. My simple thought process as follows: - Prepare with any requested "final" design plans/anything that you want priced up. We want to make additional tweaks to the design and it should still be ok for CDC/DA approval. - Be prepared to negotiate as much as you can with the tender presenter. I am sure that they have sign off to do this so do your best! - DO NOT sign the tender on the day! There is a period of 7-10 days (I think?) until you have to sign. This will give you more leverage too as they will probably work harder to get you a better deal. From all of the above, we are in talks with another builder and may pay their deposit too so really want to get the best deal we can get. Thank you. They booked us for 17th Feb morning as well. Hi just out of curiosity when did you pay the 1000 deposit? We are waiting for them to contact us.. paid it week before price rise we aren't in too much of a rush but will be good to get ball rolling Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 16629Jan 13, 2017 3:37 pm gdmonty Hi everyone would anyone know what Clarendon roughly charge for the water outlet for the fridge ? Probably the tender presenter just wanted to kill off our idea but quoting that kinda price, Building a Oceanside 36 @ Kellyville Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 16634Jan 22, 2017 5:49 pm We have just gone through the initial estimate and looking at the Paddington 29 MkII with bedroom 1 at the back, in we are also looking at adding in media room and grand alfresco. Other than that we are keeping the design stock as possible. Clarendon are not the cheapest per square metre but they are better than some of the other builders in terms of service and understanding can you can do with a block, we had a few builders that said comeback when your ready with deposit and we will look more seriously at what can be done with our block! Are there any tips for people moving from estimate to formal tender to be aware of in terms of costs or things that are excluded that we should look at? Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 16638Jan 23, 2017 6:19 pm k3nnis Where is the media room located for the Paddington? It is located the rear of the house directly off the meals area and is slightly bigger than the rumbas room. The plan shows it as "Home Theater and is 4.1x4.6 Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 16639Jan 24, 2017 6:54 am Hi all, Had my tender appointment last week. No too impressed. Wasn't offered any freebies, plus i have to decrease size of garage by 25cm in length. Also have to leave 1.5m from boundry because of large block as per CDC requirement. Is there any way around this? Also looks like the standard aircon is rubbish as it only turns on upstair OR downstairs not both at same time. They have out in 5k provision for potential rock. Any advice would be GREATLY appreciated as i have to make up my mind soon. Cheers the stair balustrades? There is nothing special about these and I imagine literally every stair installer will be able to do this. 1 6747 The two 15mm holes are obviously not compliant.
