Browse Forums Flooring & Floor Covering 1 May 28, 2011 9:05 am I am renovating my 2 bedroom apartment and will be taking up the horrible carpet and replacing in the living and kitchen with floorboards. I am having trouble deciding between engineered floating floors or the best laminate i can get. I will be living here for the 1st year or 2 but then will be renting it out for at least 3 years before probably returning to live in it for a brief time before selling it. I am worried that the people who rent will not be as careful with the floor as i would be myself. Nothing against renters but i have been one and the care is just not the same when you don't own it and you just never quite know who your getting. My budget is about $100 per square meter so i would not be able to afford the top quality engineered flooring but can the top quality laminates. Any help would be appreciated.
