Painting and cushion he 143Jul 04, 2011 8:48 am I can't find the artwork you are referring to? But I love your purple room and the silver cushions are just what it needs, maybe you just need a few more silver "pieces" to tie it all in? The second room will look just as great! You just need something on the wall and some colour in the cushions I think. Build thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=32574 Re: Need more help with living room! Painting and cushion he 144Jul 04, 2011 9:21 am Deemaree More cushions! Dee, you are a witch - just what I was thinking! Lots more cushions with more colour - not just the silver, what about some "shiny" purple cushions you need to break up all the brown of the sofa and the art work would be great - agree you need something big. Agree a tall vase on the left hand side would be good next to the one you already have to add height. You could make a statement with the rug you have - it's a bit wishy washy looks too brown - a rug with lots of colour in would be great. Good luck with it! Painting and cushion he 145Jul 04, 2011 9:50 am Thanks guys, the artwork was on the previous page if u scroll up a bit. The couch is grey and the rug is silver, grey and black (pictures must have come out a bit off) we tried a purple rug and it looked totally wrong. So we went with the silver rug and no way DH is buying a new one lol. Thanks for ideas will hunt around for more cushions maybe. Moved In!!! Next up Landscaping! P 147Jul 06, 2011 4:47 pm Hey Guys! Sooo after getting really frustrated about the blank wall I decided to take a second look at my original idea of the photo wall, which I posted pics of in page 1 of thread. And I decided to put in the effort of cutting out bits of paper (great idea I saw in another thread) in the exact sizes of all the frames and putting them on wall to see how it looked. I then decided (dangerously ) to stick and enormous amount of blutac on each frame and then stick them to the wall, to give a better idea of how it would work. So this morning I decided I was just going to do it. So i did, and after MUCH measuring and checking here is the end result... Only a few of them actually have pictures in them that will be staying, I just filled them as best I could so they wouldn't look stupid while I figure out exactly what prints too put in them. Oh and my DH cant stand symmetry so I tried to do them as best and neat as I could without being symmetrical.. P 148Jul 06, 2011 4:51 pm That's better and from the angle you took we can see the rug isn't as dark as it appeared before and the extra couple of silver cushions have helped - it's looking good. Are you happy more importantly?? For info on our build: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=43093 Built the McLaren by Dechellis - slab down 22 Feb - handover 30 Aug 2011 - and gardens finished 9 Dec 2012!! P 150Jul 06, 2011 5:21 pm The photo's look really good, I would buy a throw in a silver, white or a grey color and a nice candle or something to go on the coffee table, I have a really nice one, it has six silver candle holders in it, my table is bigger than your one, so I would get one candle holder in silver, there are so many nice ones out there. Have a look at Dusk. Re: Need more help with living room! *I finished the wall! P 152Jul 06, 2011 5:27 pm I would move those 2 photos? pictures on that wall on the left now and put a massive mirror. something really stunning. or an amazing clock.
