Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Feb 09, 2011 6:07 pm Hi all, We recently have gone through the process of choosing upgrades etc with our builder (M3tr1c0n). But my wife has found some tapware for the bathroom/ensuite that she likes at an auction and we're wondering if taps/showerheads have a generic fitment. Ie, if we have the standard range installed, is it easy to take them off and install new ones? Or will it require a lot of effort and should we just upgrade with the builder at a higher cost... Thanks in advance Re: Tapware when building new home 3Feb 10, 2011 8:59 pm As long as you find ones with the Australian Standards watermark on them, your plumber shouldn't have a problem changing them over after handover. Just make sure you're not trying to change two taps to a mixer, or anything like that!
