Hi, We are currently landscaping our front yard & would like to include some form of hedging.
We are looking at having a hedge approx. 80cm in height, it will be in full sun to part shade & irrigated. I think that we will need to use an Australian plant that is fairly tough as we receive strong easterly morning breezes in summer, thinking along the lines of Westringia Jervis Gem, W. Morning Light, W. Fruiticosa, W. Lilac & Lace or even Acmena Smithii Minor.
Question - If we use the Westringia's how often will they need to be clipped to maintain a neat 80 cm hedge?
As above for the A. Smithii Minor?
In regards to using the A. Smithii Minor I've been told that it is prone to some form of
Insect attack does this pose a problem & is it treatable?
Thanks all, hoping someone can steer us in the right direction!
