Browse Forums Finishing Touch 1 Jan 14, 2011 9:42 am Hi all, My colour struggle continues. Can anyone tell me if they have/had a white colourbond roof before and does it 'appear' dirty? I love surfmist and this is my preference for my roof and garage door. Obviously lighter colours show more dirt but I'm interested to know if it's really obvious. Thanks for all the feedback! PK Re: Does a white roof look dirty? 2Jan 14, 2011 3:14 pm There are a few lighter coloured ones in our area and they look dirty. They are probably a few years old. Re: Does a white roof look dirty? 3Jan 14, 2011 3:23 pm They look clean when they are put up! I know a house with a really light roof; don’t ask me what colour it is, as it’s covered in mould, dirt and whatever! If you’re not prepared to get onto your roof and gurney it off every few years, then don’t do it. Especially if you live around a leafy area. Unfortunately we live in high humidity so the colour is very dirty and mouldy. When we redo, will be going a pale grey, one that the mould and dirt doesnt show as much. Wont go dark though, have had dark before. When the heat and sun beat down in summer, is way, way too hot. Never again. It got so hot that I prefer the dirt and mould and we had ceiling insulation. The current house, no insulation and definately not as hot. Probably 10 degrees different thanks guys! yes this is how I've exactly raised it with the builder. still awaiting response. 12 6020 No the fireplace doesn’t work. It’s been enclosed. I’m not sure what was removed, as it was done quite some time ago - well before what I can see with photos online… 2 11530 Interested in getting either the Polytec Boston Oak or Palace Peak for kitchen cabinets.
