We need quite a large unit (10kw cooling & 11.2kw heating approx). We have got one quote back so far but we have been quoted $4450 supplied & installed. I've never seen a split system that big, what brand is it? I think $800 for a back to back install would be the max i would pay. I payed $4030 supplied and installed for one 7.4kw and one 3.5kw Panasonic split system, neither was back to back so some extra pipe work was needed, i already had the wiring done though. The one we were quoted on is a Daikin. Re: Supply and installation cost for split system air con 9Dec 20, 2010 1:44 pm When Eve Dweller asked how many internal units, I think they were asking if it was a single or multi split. As mentioned above, not many companies do a single 10kW unit, but many are releasing "multi split" units that can have up to 3 or "heads"/internal units and a single external unit. These can share up to 12-15 kW of load over the units Re: Supply and installation cost for split system air con 10Dec 21, 2010 8:04 am chrisandkate When Eve Dweller asked how many internal units, I think they were asking if it was a single or multi split. Re: Supply and installation cost for split system air con 11Dec 22, 2010 10:51 pm 10kW is a one seriously large split system, if you're using it to cool more than one room or space I'd be concerned about effective air distribution throughout the area you want to cool/heat. For a standard back to back supply and install the pricing seems a little high. How do you remove one of these ceiling air con vents? And is it possible to disconnect the duct joined to the vent from inside the house, without going into the roof cavity? 0 5900 Hi all, sorting out the ducted air con for a 350sqm double story house.
