By the way, our leather lounge has copped so much in the lat 12 years, it's amazing. It is looking a bit tired and jaded (but so am I ) and I would like to replace it (the lounge that is ). It has coped with pens, markers, 2 babies, spills, dog, glue everything and is not stained at all. A fabric lounge would never have survived that, unless of course the covers were washable. In saying that my new sofa is fabric and I will replace the leather lounge with another leather lounge in the future. My DD's still like to lie on the leather lounge (even though there is no TV in there) because it is cool on their skin, they find the fabric hot. Me? I like them both for different reasons. Good luck. www.themaxbuild.blogspot.com forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=20717&start=300 www.leahspaperpassion.blogspot.com Re: Are the new fabric lounges as durable as leather? 14Dec 10, 2010 9:33 pm themax - we already have an 18month old 'WHITE' leather lounge, chaise... and let me tell you that will never go this colour again.... from the blue dye on jeans to the cat scratch marks - all of this stuff is so hard to mask once its on the lounge... but i think it has certainly held much better than a white fabric lounge would have..... so perhaps as we will have this for the sitting/lounge room... for the more heavy use area i think will stay with fabric but cover this up with a throw or something to casually protect this at other times. and yes thanks for the heads up to make sure that he config is what we are looking for - i think it is certainly an important factor. we have a sliding door on one side of the room that we would like to put perhaps a daybed or single chair so we don't close access to this door Project History Deposit - 20/4/2010 Land Settled - 20/8/2010 Council - 30/9/2010 Slab - 17/11/2010 Bricks - 28/01/2011 Roof - 5/02/2011 Gyprock - 4/03/2011 Re: Are the new fabric lounges as durable as leather? 15Dec 13, 2010 5:37 am I have to say I prefer the blue one also.
