Good pick up! That pic actually has three different tiles. The tiles going up the wall are not the floor tiles, they are a different size. We have only one tile in our bathrooms, our floortile is on all the walls. I love the continuity and I can add any colour accessories and towels. I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. Terrence Malick Re: Bathroom feature wall/tile 7Oct 27, 2010 6:18 pm Go with what you love. We picked tiles yesterday & in our ensuite we are having dark brown floortiles, latte type brown shower & a white/cream for behind vanity Re: Bathroom feature wall/tile 8Oct 27, 2010 9:21 pm We're doing that. I hope it looks good. Cant wait Re: Bathroom feature wall/tile 9Oct 30, 2010 11:03 am We do it regularly in our bathroom desings. Although we always try to use a square tile on the floor and then a rectangular tiled laid horizontally on the wall - from the same series/colour. See from a design aspect its not a good look to have a full tile then a small rectangular tile cut above it on the edge of the bath. Using a rectangular tile allows better symetry in the tile lay. Either two equal size rectangular tiles under the bath lip...or a full tile with equal size cuts above and below. Then the three remaining walls are laid vertically so the eye is drawn not only to the change in colour but also lay/directional change. It would also definetly match grout colours. In the pic the eye is drawn to a white grid instead of the rich tile colour. The only factor to remember is that even if you use the same tile on the floor and wall they will always look slightly different. The light a fall recieves is different to that on a floor. Just a few thoughts Possibly both depending on the sizing. Idea of working from the centre is that you dont have a 20mm thin tile at one end and a 400mm at the other end. A quick search on… 3 8423 hmmm id assume youll get hit with the "natural product therefore variation in colour etc" excuse. How bad are we talking? One could argue that if none of the displays or… 3 2458 Thank you again Simeon.. I will call my certifier for that. Have a good day 4 5197 |
