I'm sure there is a red one of those that would look like that when not in flower maybe? http://www.triplantanol.com/biggerplants.html my new build thread- Ben Trager https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=89826 my switch build thread (2011) https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=36569 Re: Can someone please identify the plants in this picture? 14Sep 21, 2010 9:23 pm It's not a canna...it's definitely a cordy. A canna would give a similar effect, but they go all cruddy in winter. As long as you don't mind half-dead looking plants in the cold months, they're fine. This is sundance: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Very pretty - I have three along my side fence. The one in LaraJane's pic is similar, but according to this, it's Red Stripes: http://www.mooseyscountrygarden.com/new-zealand-native-plants/red-green-cordyline.html 1 392 Murraya could be a great option for you. It creates a great tall screening hedge but doesn't drop fruit like lily pilly. The flowers smell divine. 2 10253 I work with owner, he/she is my man on the ground and I instruct them when to visit the site and take photos and I have other tools in the bag. 4 15284 |
