Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Our Milan 2200 - 07/10 - More Bad News :-( 183Oct 09, 2010 8:08 am Well I was very surprised to go out to our place yesterday to find the electrician had been there and cut the holes for power points, light switches and holes in the roof for the actual lights! Maybe they have decided to keep going while we are waiting for bricks?? Or maybe they have had enough of me and just want to finishthe house so they are rid of me Re: Our Milan 2200 - 08/10 - Electrician has been through?? 184Oct 09, 2010 11:20 am Any work is good work right. Our new benchtops are Crystal Topaz, which is a white grey rock like laminate Re: Our Milan 2200 - 11/10 - On site Meeting 186Oct 12, 2010 7:14 am Had an onsite meeting yesterday and wasn't i surprised to find that we are now up to our 3rd Site Supervisor!! Walked through and pointed out the stuff ups, and the SS was very good and agreed with what i pointed out. We should have the plasterer in today to finish the patch up on the back wall, and the painters in for the next 2 days after that to finish off the painting. And the SS let slip that we might see some tilers in next week to get started on that until the bricks arrive!!!! Re: Our Milan 2200 - 11/10 - On site Meeting 187Oct 12, 2010 9:06 am That is such good news that they are trying to push on without the bricks. I'm glad your new SS was agreeing with you, hopefully he will stick it out til the end. Re: Our Milan 2200 - 12/10 - OMG Vanity Delivery!!!!! 189Oct 12, 2010 5:15 pm Boy oh boy was i surprised when i got to my place after work!! All my vanities had been delivered!!! so excited! The colours are awesome! But to my surprise the benchtop in the house was the original one i had choosen, which my cso told me they no longer make! Now i dont know which one ill like better the first choice or the second one?!?!?! And to top it off the dip sh!ts that delivered my vanities couldnt get in the house so they decided to kick in the door from the garage, so now the door wont even close!! Anyways heres some pics for you all!! No pics of bathroom colours yet though My kitchen cupboards - Madagascar and Luxor kicked Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Madagascar up close Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ My original choice benchtop, i was worried it was too dark so the second one i have picked is the complete opposite! When do you think they will all be installed? or have they already? How are you feeling about the benchtop? I'm sure your first choice will look perfect, its annoying though that you got yourself settled on another colour only to have it change back again. Re: Our Milan 2200 - 12/10 - Delivery photos 191Oct 14, 2010 9:45 am Hey Cous, firstly congrats on your bricks and plaster, im so jealous about the bricks! They ahven't been installed just yet, they could be waiting for the painters to finish up? or i could have a surprise waiting for me tonight! I'm really wanting to keep the original benchtop, i prefer that over the second one we picked. My CSO freaked out when i told her and is supposed to be finding out whats going on and getting back to me, but i haven't heard anything as yet. Re: Our Milan 2200 - 12/10 - Delivery photos 192Oct 14, 2010 9:57 am ooooh I hope you get a surprise tonight, make sure you take photos Is all of the benchtop there? or is some of it missing? Surely now that it has been delivered it will be the one they install. Re: Our Milan 2200 - 12/10 - Delivery photos 193Oct 14, 2010 10:01 am I only saw the one piece of it, but there were lots of boxes i was itching to open, and i couldnt see the bathroom benchtops either, so i'm hoping it is in one of the boxes, and if not im hoping they can scrounge up enough of the lmainate to complete the kitchen bench tops in my first choice. Photos are a definate! Im always snapping photos of the house. Re: Our Milan 2200 - 12/10 - Delivery photos 194Oct 15, 2010 8:26 am Well the verdict is they stuffed up! I get to keep my original kitchen benchtop, both pieces are there, so that saga is over! BUT.... There is no sign of my bathroom/ensuite bench tops so i will be very p!ssed if they tell me i need to reselect that one!!! Anyways kitchen still sitting there collecting dust, plasterers/painters were in yesterday. They plastered the room that the car hit and painted all the internal doors, door frames and window frames. They were supposed to be finishing up this week but i cant see that happening, hope we are still getting our tiling done next week!!!! Re: Our Milan 2200 - 15/10 - Water leaking into my house!! 195Oct 15, 2010 12:22 pm Disaster stricks again!! My other half went to the house today to find that there is water getting into our roof, so there was a nice big wet patch dripping water in our hallway! SS went and met him out on site, and said they would have to replace that section of the roof, As well as some sections of the garage which keep getting wet. who knows how long this will take now! Re: Our Milan 2200 - 15/10 - Water leaking into my house!! 196Oct 15, 2010 12:37 pm Awww Charlene what a nightmare - you poor things. I love your colours of the cabinets? Is the bench top Roman Marble by any chance??? I hope things start to look up for you guys. Re: Our Milan 2200 - 15/10 - Water leaking into my house!! 199Oct 15, 2010 1:14 pm A leaking roof. How unlucky At least it has been found and can be fixed, hopefully without too much trouble or delay! Regardless of wall hung toilet or floor pan toilet your feet will be right on drain, seems to me the waste should not be in that location given the design.
