Hey Jo
Beautiful pendants. Nice and classy!!!
I have a fairly good idea of what we want at electrical but there will be things I don't understand such as additional circuits, etc, for downlights so I guess I will learn about this at the electrical appointment.

Hi Cathy,
We completed our electrical on the Monday just passed and have came under budget at 14.7k. MJH is doing all electrical for us.
We have updated our blog with every selection from our appointment along with our electrical plan.
My biggest advise is try to envision where you want light switches and power points to be located. We printed out our floor plan and have a good sit down before our appointment marking where we want each point.
You'll need extra circuit for every 20 downlight/bayonet. Same goes for power point, double power point is considered 2 points.
McDonald Jones can also source any light you like from Beacon Lighting. We got them to source 3x Husk Matte Black pendant light for our kitchen island.
Hope that helps.
Can I ask why the extra circuits for.
If a standard battern light is 50watts than you could go 5 11watt LED downlights.
My sparky said I wouldn't need more as there is still power on the circuit.
And I have 118 down lights in the house .

Yes a lot . Every room , alfresco , eaves .
Each circuit is. 15amp x 120v is 1800watts per circuit. Is you a getting halogen downlights .
And it's not that you would have every light on at once to trip it out .
What did they charge per circuit
