A couple of months ago i found some kind of white mushrooms growing in my lawn. Have no idea where they came from.
Everytime I pull them out - new ones appear - especially after rain.
How can I get rid of them once and for all??

Re: Mushrooms 2May 08, 2010 7:48 pm They won't cause any harm, so no need to do anything. I just give them a nudge with my foot and out they come. Or leave them till the mower takes care of them. It's a seasonal thing, they're sprouting everywhere at the moment - the spores just blow in from who-knows-where. They'll stop coming up in a few weeks, then no doubt start again next autumn, as long as rainfall is reasonable. Re: Mushrooms 4May 10, 2010 2:44 pm Ok. If they will go away - i ll let them be. I was worried if i let it go - it will get out of control! We didnt have them last year, or the year before. Re: Mushrooms 5May 10, 2010 5:43 pm Ah, but this is the first rainy autumn we've had in quite a while. We always had fungi popping up in the lawn at our old place..... until the drought hit. Re: Mushrooms 6Jun 17, 2010 12:22 am You will get rid of them by changing the way you care for the lawn Less lawn fert or better still no lawn fert. Ideas in the lawn thread. Cut back on watering as well. Cut the lawn higher and regularly. Start using organic means of growing your lawn. They are a symptom of an underlying problem. In the end they are there doing an important job to solve the problem of why they are there in the first place. High nitrogen (can be from excess fertilisers in months past, from rain if frequent storms have occurred) Excessive thatch Lots of moisture They all make for the conditions the mushies need. Please avoid using fungicides. If you must choose eco fungicide which contains potassium bi carb Re: Mushrooms 11Jun 19, 2010 7:03 pm Internal and External Building and Colour Consultant Online - Worldwide http://www.denovoconcepts.com Re: Mushrooms 13Jun 19, 2010 7:09 pm Internal and External Building and Colour Consultant Online - Worldwide http://www.denovoconcepts.com Re: Mushrooms 15Jun 19, 2010 7:18 pm themax Big fairies....
