I have been lurking for alittle while and have made the odd post but i thought it would be time to show you all what we are doing and what decisions we have made so far.
We came across this estate about a yrs ago but our house wasnt ready to sell, 12 months later We were lucky to be in a the right financial position when this peice of land became for sale. I wont say its our dream piece of land cause that is about 20 acres but 5 acres is certainly in the right direction of getting our dream land.
The house nor is our dream house, but its a stepping stone. we are very excited and can see ourselves living here for atleast 5 yrs.
We have decide to build the lakeview lodge with Beechwood homes
ignore the window shutters
This is our site plan
I would love to be able to show you our plans but there being drawn up at the moment, so i can show you the brochure layout - we havent chanegd it that much.
Changes are :
# swapping the games room and garage so the garage is at the back of the house with roller door at the back, so when hubby is working in the garage he can watch the kids in the backyard or enjoy the view.
# large alfresco off the rumpus stacker doors.
# double shower in ensuite
# double doors to master bedroom
# double doors to lounge/dining room (this will be the kids toy room and IF we have another child we # will half this room to make a toy room and study so each child has there own room)
# delete opening to lounge room off foyer.
# double entry doors.
# bring the dining/loune room wall closer by about 30cm to make the family room alittle larger
# next to the laundry internal door will be another linen press
# Meals sliding doors will be a window
# The Games room will be our theatre room
# Ducted inverter air conditioning.
# seperate toilet in main bathroom
So this is what we have chosen so far
Wakehurst by Austral with off white morter
traditional Sanctury by Bristile
Guttering will be windspray
fascia will be surfist
Windows will be matt stone beige (i think - any suggestions??)
Entry doors the same as these
Tri-lock entry door
Vanitiy doors colour and profile with white tops with semi-recessed bowls in both bathrooms
Bath in main bathroom
Osprey ceasertone benchtop - 20mm pencil profile
Now where we are after some feedback,
I was going to go with a red splashback but i dont think im daring enough so hubby has agreed that i can paint the kitchen red and have a neutral colour.
The tiles in the bathrooms/laundry we are thinking of a black marble effect floor tile with white wall tiles (to 1.8m high right around) with a mosiac feature strip consisting of black, metalic dark blues and greys.
Has anyone seen a bathroom like this? what do you think?
Large ceremic floor tiles in the foyer down the hallway and the kitchen/family/meals in a light beigy colour and the rest of the house in a carpet - light beige
I would love some feedback
