Re: Who is building with Beechwood 15611Aug 07, 2017 10:25 am Hi all OUR LAND IS FINALLY REGISTERED We're just waiting on a settlement date (which will happen sometime in the next fortnight) then hopefully we're full steam ahead. Our understanding is that it will then be lodged to the building certifier, and we have our colour appointment while it's being assessed. Quick question, any upgrades or changes made at colours (ie, we would like a non-standard garage door colour - we like the timber look), does that amount need to be paid our of our pocket or can we tack it onto our Beechwood contract? Also, has anyone chosen a timber look garage door colour that could give me a rough guide on price? Thanks heaps xx Nov 2016 - Land deposit Feb 2017 - Beechwood deposit August 2017 - Land registered (finally) * * OUR BLOG * * https://buildingabeechie.wordpress.com/ Re: Who is building with Beechwood 15612Aug 07, 2017 12:08 pm bredani hi and huge congratulations that's fantastic news. You can add that into your contract so the price of it will be included in your home loan with the bank . Or you can opt to pay for it your self to keep your loan smaller. All our extras that we picked at colour selection we chose to pay for it out of our own pocket to keep our loan smaller. So we got a invoice for $5,600 give or take a couple $ and we were to pay that prior to our plans being given to the drafters for construction. But if you include it in your contract and it becomes apart of your loan you don't need to worry about it. Only a letter stating funds are approved from your bank is all you require Re: Who is building with Beechwood 15613Aug 07, 2017 1:34 pm Fale of T Grae75 Who is building the Asquith36? We are about to pay our deposit on our 2nd build with Beechwood in 4 years. We are adding a 6th bedroom, storage area, extra double garage, extended terazza and all sorts of internal upgrades including 2.7 ceilings. We are building on a semi rural block in the Hunter Valley. We are building the Asquith 36, but only made a few changes and did a few upgrades. We are in Lake Mac. We have 2.7 ceilings too for heritage requirements and extended the porch for this reason also. We did a small extension to the guest bedroom to bring it out to the garage wall and changed the main ensuite by removing the bath and adding extra space to the WIR and made the guest ensuite less ensuite and more bathroom by moving the door and changing the layout (only so the kid in this bedroom doesn't feel like the favourite ). Can't wait for it to be finished. 29/08/12: Placed offer on the land. 05/10/12: Land Settled 08/07/13: Contracts 07/08: Cut land 26/08: Slab 09/09: Frame 13/09: Bricks 30/09: Roof 14/10: Gyprock 17/10: Kitchen 24/10: Lock Up Re: Who is building with Beechwood 15614Aug 07, 2017 1:35 pm Fale of T Grae75 Who is building the Asquith36?
