Re: Who is building with Beechwood 14954May 17, 2017 11:55 am Hi all Just wondering if anyone can shed some light on the initial Beechwood process? We visited Beechwood last November, sat down with a consultant and went through any alterations we wanted to make. We were then issued with our first tender and paid a $2,000 deposit. We were told we are then required to pay another $3,500 once our plans are drawn. No drawings have been done yet. Our land is due to register in the next 4-6 weeks. We feel we should at least have one set of drawings by now as we're keen to get things happening as soon as the land registers. We just don't want to waste this time while waiting for our land to register if we could be doing behind the scenes Beechwood stuff. When are colours done? Is it before contracts are signed or after? I would have thought you would have plans late to early last year.. I would be chasing that up. Colours done with contract after council approval for development consent so realistically ages away depending on your council. As a rough time frame it was close to 4-5 months before we got approval. But in saying that while we were waiting we went and looked at bricks, paint, tiles etc and had it all sorted for when we went to colours. But if your only a few weeks away from land I would be chasing them up for the plans so you can keep the ball rolling Re: Who is building with Beechwood 14957May 17, 2017 6:30 pm Loving the photo updates Tom. http://buildingourhumblehome.blogspot.com Land Deposit - 20.08.2016 Land Registered - 27.09.2016 Land Settlement - 07.11.2016 House Deposit - 27.11.2016 House Contracts - 16.02.2017 House Build Starts - 10.04.2017 Building with Beechwood Homes buildingourhumblehome.blogspot.com.au Re: Who is building with Beechwood 14958May 17, 2017 6:35 pm So looking at these plans we have a bulkhead in our ' hallway '. Only for aesthetic reasons. Has anyone removed this? Thinking i would prefer a nice clean look. ??? Re: Who is building with Beechwood 14960May 17, 2017 7:29 pm Hi bkalm, we have it too and I would also removed it if it won't affect the structural integrity of the house if we have realised it earlier. Now we have to have two pendant lights as the bulkhead blocks the light of the first part of the entry...let us know what you've done http://buildingourhumblehome.blogspot.com Land Deposit - 20.08.2016 Land Registered - 27.09.2016 Land Settlement - 07.11.2016 House Deposit - 27.11.2016 House Contracts - 16.02.2017 House Build Starts - 10.04.2017 Building with Beechwood Homes buildingourhumblehome.blogspot.com.au go upvc window frames ensure insulation under colorbond. not just sarking, lighter color roof also not sure if you have seen this viewtopic.php?t=5823 last couple of pages… 4 110567 Even if it's not being sub-divided and you want to keep it as Torrens title, you will still need to talk to a town planner or Council themselves, to see if they will allow… 1 11035 |
