Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Makobys Soho *** it seems to be finally moving along ag 61Jun 15, 2010 7:18 pm I was a bit like that too! WOrked myself up to see the kitchen & then I went ahh yeah ok! Bit of an anticlimax. All I could see were practical problems! I like you think when it is all finished it will look fantastic. Re: Makobys Soho *** well looky what I have :D 62Jun 16, 2010 4:02 pm Re: Makobys Soho *** well looky what I have :D 63Jun 16, 2010 6:39 pm Wow, wow & more wow!! Looking wonderful Makoby you have to be happy with that! By the way you must agree it looks fantastic in daylight??? Re: Makobys Soho *** well looky what I have :D 67Jun 28, 2010 7:50 pm And how do I talk????? Hurry and and post some pics of your build for me! Re: Makobys Soho *** ...kitchens in...** about bench to 69Jul 07, 2010 7:00 pm I was so adamant that I didnt want a join in my benchtop, so what do you think I have!? I was told because my bench was under 3m that it would be done in one piece, but nooooooooooooooo...thats not allowing for the little stupid offcuts and overhang which takes it to 3070. Im really ** about this and the stupid colour "specialists" who told me this!! And of course, what do I get asked? "did you get in on paper" well no you stupid rench, I ASSUMED that you knew what you were talking about!! So angry right now, this is something I really didnt want, even changing the bench from an L shape to an island to avoid it. And also, I changed the colour of the front door when we decided against floorboards, so what do they do?? Change ONE side!! IDIOTS...Who would upgrade to a gorgeous $1000 door and stain the inside different to the outside! Im lucky the painter picked this up and did it all the same Even the handles, I specifically asked for ALL the handles to be horizontal, hmmmm, of course the laundry are vertical!! Not to bad I guess, but just goes to show how STUPID they are when you change things!! Check, double check and triple check your changes cos if you sign of on it, then your stuck with it!! Im so mad about my stupid bench right now, Im so over this build......never again!! RANT OVER!! Re: Makobys Soho *** how long after fixing stage until fini 70Jul 08, 2010 7:36 pm The painter finished up today, the kitchens in, just waiting on basins and bath. For those recently finished, how long should I be expecting? I know the electrician and plumber need to come back and tiles/carpet need to be done, so what timeline would I be looking at? And what else needs to be done other than the above??
