I thought I saw a slab there yesterday on our way home and yes it is gorgeous!! Noddy congrats on moving in!! Yopz, we ummed and aahhhhed about getting a private inspector aswell and decided not to in the end. It really just depends on your own feelings about the build, we didn't get one but agreed that if we ever felt any doubt about how the build was going we would call someone in. We're going with ezy clip fencing too - looks like there is a monopoly going on at the ponds! Re: The Ponds/ KVR- Anyone building this year? Thanks Karry Re: The Ponds/ KVR- Anyone building this year? Wow that is great! Thanks Karry our plan is with the council since 3 Feb. I've checked on the council website and it says approved not released since the 24 Feb. interpreting what it said it maybe that our builder doesn't know about it yet. do you think that we have a problem with our plan as this has been going a while? also in the plan that is submitted to the council, there is a tree planted by the council on the nature strip that is impeding our driveway. in the plan it also said that the tree is going to be relocated by us. Does anyone has the same problem? Re: The Ponds/ KVR- Anyone building this year? Blog List add 795Mar 01, 2011 9:23 pm Hi all, Good to see everyones progress. Have not been on the forum for awhile. For updates check out our blog ( on signature ) we have paid for our initial deposit Re: The Ponds/ KVR- Anyone building this year? Blog List add 796Mar 02, 2011 10:27 am Yopz, I recall it only being a matter of days once Blacktown Council had approved but not released our file. I let our Builder know as soon as I saw this on the council website though so not sure if that helped to speed things up? It's only a week tomorrow so I wouldn't think there's any problem, just contact your CSO and they should let you know the next step. Bula, will check out your blog now! I too have just updated our blog with a few pics http://karry327.blogspot.com/. Bit of electrical preparation going on and we should have a frame in next week or so I believe Building an Eden Brae Saville 27 http://karry327.blogspot.com/ Building thread https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=44247 Re: The Ponds/ KVR- Anyone building this year? Blog List add 798Mar 02, 2011 1:22 pm Approved not released means pretty much what it says, basically your plans are approved but need to be sent up to the stamping office to be stamped they are then sent down to be mailed(released) out to you/your builder. They usually take a whole month to do the full process,my plans sat as approved not released for ages and they wont call you back! Finally after some harrassment someone looked into it and i was told my plans had been resubmitted and not mailed(accidently) and went through the whole process twice(neighbours even got two notice letters) Took 8 weeks in total and man was i mad! On a lighter note we have also used howard at frame stage(roof on ready for elec rough in) and will do for PCI in 2 months. He is good comes highly recommended by others on here and helpful,if you mention you were recommended or found him on H1 he will give you a $50 discount for each inspection. Re: The Ponds/ KVR- Anyone building this year? Blog List add 799Mar 02, 2011 4:43 pm Wow 2 weeks for council approval - that's great. I think ours took 4 weeks. Does anyone know how to find out details of neighbours? Neither of the houses next to us have started yet but we would like to do fences once we move in but not sure what the process is here since we don't know who they are?? Hi chasey, You need to call blacktown council and they will give you the mailing address of each neighbor so you can then send them a letter Dave __________________________ Building the Concerto with Allorth Homes @ The Ponds Our blog Noddy @ The Ponds http://noddytheponds.blogspot.com PM me re Landscape Plans 0 4987 Your house roof does not show rusting other than some surface rust on the flashings.
