Now if only the day would go faster so I can get back to see our glossy floor Our Build - Places Fairhaven 23+ - https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=28045 Our Landscaping - Belial's Backyard - https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=45375 Re: Our Places Fairhaven 23+ - Flooring 811Dec 08, 2010 8:29 am Looks great Belial, I like the way it looks with the splashback. I'm seriously considering getting floorboards now - a bit worried on the extra cost over tiles though! Your floorboard colour really works well with the splashback! I'm seriously considering getting floorboards now - a bit worried on the extra cost over tiles though! Your floorboard colour really works well with the splashback! Thanks, tbh we're not fans of tiles outside of wet areas which meant we were looking at timber of some kind pretty much from the get go. Solid is definately the most expensive option, but equally you can get a really great effect with engineered floating though depending on the brand you won't neccisarily save much over solid. Equally if you have a search around the forum you'll see a lot of people using laminate floating , quickstep etc and there is also the timber look vinyl floating Karndean etc if you want the look but need something more hard wearing. So lots of options for you 123Crystal, best advice I can give is get out in your local area and find whats around and available locally. Those floorboards look stunning! Well herbiecat, i hope you've got yourself a waterproof keyboard in the intervening time This is the way we try and dust-proof the carpeted rooms with some success.
