Time waits for no man. Unless that man is Chuck Norris. Re: Vundaful's House - FLOORING PICS (finally!) 643May 06, 2010 11:54 am Tankyu all I have a few funny pictures of the cats doing odd things in the new place, I should put them up some time! It's funny watching them misjudge the corners and skid around on the laminates – the rental they grew up in only had carpet, so they’re used to digging their claws in and taking corners at speed kek Thought you were holding out on us.... Not on purpose darling Lex I LOVE that colour, it's brilliant! I couldn't believe when I saw these new laminates - they look so real-wood! Beautiful floors!! Thanks Lex! We're really impressed with them, and to be honest the Quickstep laminates aren't as good looking as some of the others we saw out there (but we wanted the Quickstep for its durability). larajane Awww, poor little scared kitty Yeah we probably didn't help by laughing at him rosemi haha love the pic of your kitty... I can imagine my kitty doing the same when we move. BTW, the flooring is looking fantastic. Awww fanks You'd be surprised where a frightened cat can get themselves – we thought Columbo had got out the front door and was lost because we couldn’t find him 2 days ago. After a lot of worrying it turns out that he had jumped almost 2m up onto the top shelf of the WIR, squeezed in through a small opening in a carry bag, and was curled up asleep under a fluffy toy sheep I was SO worried!! He’s never been outside so his fright combined with a new area means I was already counting him a goner. rhi3384 it looks brilliant!!! You must be so glad all of the major stuff is done and you can set up house! Yep - can't wait to start moving all our stuff around then I can show you all the new dining table and rug that we bought! Re: Vundaful's House - FLOORING PICS (finally!) 644May 06, 2010 12:23 pm I agree, the laminate looks great. I looked back a little hoping to find what brand you went with as we are going laminate but haven't chosen one yet...but I couldnt find it. You must be pleased!! It's nice to walk on too - it still has a hollow noise but it's pretty muted. We went with Quickstep laminate - in Natural Varnished Oak I love the subtle grain embossing too. I'm guilty of a few 'colourbond moments' with it !!! Re: Vundaful's House - FLOORING PICS (finally!) 646May 06, 2010 12:33 pm Vundaful! Re: Vundaful's House - FLOORING PICS (finally!) 650May 06, 2010 10:28 pm Flooring looks just magic =))) Wait until you've got a wet, freshly mopped floor and the cats go skidding around on that - it's even more hilarious! I can't wait to get our bengal out in our large, open spaces on freshly mopped tiles! She deliberately takes a runner to maximise the slide - it's just the funniest thing =)) Hope your furbabies are feeling more at home now. Once all your furniture gets in they will probably be just fine. Re: Vundaful's House - FLOORING PICS (finally!) 651May 06, 2010 11:34 pm Flooring looks great V! We had trusty wood laminate in our old place - brilliant stuff. The hollow sound won't be so bad after you move all your stuff in. And woot-woot for the new furniture! Poor kitty - although I must admit I had a chuckle Re: Vundaful's House - FLOORING PICS (finally!) 652May 07, 2010 2:12 pm [quote="mummamichelle"] I looked back a little hoping to find what brand you went with as we are going laminate but haven't chosen one yet...but I couldnt find it. [quote] Silly me, I look back and you posted exactly what flooring just the post before! It seems like the Quick Step seems to be the winner for laminate flooring I can't seem to get anyone to recommend anything else. We have similar ones in our master bedroom (couldn't afford to do the whole house). I had a rug in there but took it up because the boards are too lovely to cover up Blog: http://bluemistkids.blogspot.com "Never be afraid to try something new. I just about wet myself laughing every time she does it. Fortunately she hasn't scratched the floor! Vundaful you're going to have so much watching your kitty on your new floor.
