Time waits for no man. Unless that man is Chuck Norris. Re: Trepidman's Pseudo Eco 25Feb 06, 2010 8:41 pm I had been told a house looks bigger with walls but it is a strange sensation when you see it for yourself. I visited a week before they were due to start work again in 2010 to find they had already started. The foil insulation was up around the walls, gutters were in and the solar hot water panels were installed. This is the family/meals area again Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ This is probably the best photo I've ever taken. It doesn't really show anything, I just think it came out well. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Not much to talk about here. It made my week to know they came back early to work on my house. Gravity. Its the law. Also there's a pipe coming out the top of the roof just south of the apex. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Gravity. Its the law. No access to inside apart from one photo through an open window. It is an awning window though so I couldn't get in. I have a few nieces that could fit through(next time). Main bathroom Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ This a good place to discuss a small problem I had that could have been a big problem. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ The hot water panels were not supposed to be dead center. They were supposed to be on the front or rear hip to make room for other solar panels after handover(as discussed). The placement of the hot water panels is in the contract. I tried to be diplomatic when asking them about this. I asked what the dimensions of the north facing roof were so I could determine where the other panels would go. They told me they didn't know the dimensions of the north side of the roof. I didn't know whether to laugh or swear when I read that email(I swore, made my boss jump). I worked out the dimensions myself eventually and everything will fit okay. A 1.5kw system on one side and a solar heating panel on the other. Their response annoys me still but if it doesn't have to be an issue there's no need to make it one. So many people on H1 have real problems in their build it must frustrate them to hear about people creating problems for themselves out of sheer stupid pride. This brings my thread up to date for now. Time for a sleep. Gravity. Its the law.
