In my contract, the drawing plans (A3 papers) are all looks correct. But I don't see site cost breakdown, no details on slab design, no detail what termite protection Carlisle will use??? Is it the same for you guys??? And I assume the HIA booklet is standard wordings for T-range houses. I see the statement it's Not fix price contract, should I worry? All pricing detail is correct though. Thanks all Re: The CARLISLE HOMES & SPECTRA General Information Thread 3023May 29, 2012 9:25 pm mqtutor Hi guys, Can Anyone quickly confirm few things for me? Together with my drawing plans, I also recieved a building variation that tells me how much refund I will be getting back for my site cost since it has been finalised. Probably best to give your CLE a call. The CARLISLE HOMES & SPECTRA General Information Thread 3024May 29, 2012 9:29 pm mqtutor Hi guys, Can Anyone quickly confirm few things for me? This did not get this document again at contract signing. We didn't get our engineering drawings, slab designs and everything else few weeks after contract signing. Perhaps you could ask your CLE for a copy if you are concerned about anything. Termite protection was in our tender. Contract is pretty standard. Although our inspector did point out a few ******* terms in there but nothing major. Yes, I asked CLE and she told engineering drawings, slab designs will be prepared couple weeks *After* contract is signed. Is it normal practice? True, fixed site cost (no break down) and termite protection (part A and B) were in our tender too. But I need the details... again CLE told they follow building standard practices bla bla. ... Do you mind tell me the d***** terms? PM me please. Thanks again. Re: The CARLISLE HOMES & SPECTRA General Information Thread 3027May 30, 2012 9:31 am angelsy Is your land titled? Re: The CARLISLE HOMES & SPECTRA General Information Thread 3030Jun 01, 2012 6:24 pm Not sure why my contract would be different But it clearly says " Fixing Stage " The stage when all internal clading, architraves, skirting, doors, built-in shelves, baths, basins, troughs, sinks, cabinets and cupboards of a home are fitted and fixed in position As of today not even close that $60,000 will be staying in my account Site Cut 8/04/12 Slab 13/04/12 Frame 18/04/12 Roof 07/05/12 Lock Up 06/06/12 Keys 30/08/12 Re: The CARLISLE HOMES & SPECTRA General Information Thread 3031Jun 01, 2012 6:51 pm Where did they fill out the prices? Ours was Schedule 3 method 2; Fixing: As defined in section 40(1) of the domestic building contracts act 1995 including garage roff trusses on double story homes but excluding; garage doors, baths or spas to single story homes, built ins helves to robes, pantry and linen cupboards and, where contracted, marble or granite benchtops, feature sliding robe doors, feature pantry doors, sinks & basins 25%, $69,902 As I said, my guess is you are reading defintions and not schedules...check page 12 of your contract your price breakdown will be there as 60k sounds like 25% of your payment. I would suggest you cough up lol. Coobri, love the kitchen. Is the white laminate standard or silk finish? Danny Danny Building an Atlantique 36 in Heritage Springs, Pakenham. Flooring choices 3036Jun 01, 2012 11:34 pm Hi again I am eager to hear from anyone who has chosen the Evolution laminate flooring or the Quickstep upgrade. We are a little concerned with laminate flooring but don't like tiles much either. Our current place is mostly solid hardwood flooring which is stunning with one room done with cheap laminate and it isn't great. Would love to here from someone now living on this flooring about how it looks and feels. Thanks Danny Danny Building an Atlantique 36 in Heritage Springs, Pakenham.
