Very happy with the whole process and have so much more confidence with Carlisle than we did with PD, cancelling that contract was the smartest thing we have done!! Great to hear tender went well Titch. +1 on the change of builder - best decision EVER!! Building Carlisle Homes "Monaco" @ The Avenue at Casey What's happening?... I am awaiting for the registration now. took us around 10 days. so have you heard back from the bank ? Thanks Bill & Madison27AA, Good one! It cant be far away then. Still no news from bank. Usually it takes 5 business days (very old fashion). Worst case I might use have to apply for a credit card or a personal loan. There is no point paying LMI for few thousands. I will let you know the outcome. Hooray! Got the finance approved. Any one know what are the criterias to get the stamp duty reduction(20%)? Does it takes in account of the land settlement date or the contract of the land? Can anyone shed some light? I tried emailing sro last week, but seems like there are no reply yet.. I think should be the contract of the land. At least according to this form: http://www.sro.vic.gov.au/SRO/SROCalcs. ... r?OpenForm deb17 cuppyccake hi guys, anyone going after the FHOG and the stamp duty reduction starting from 1st July 2011? They said, it is based on settlement date of the land. Any land that titles from 1st July onwards are entitled. Also the house & land total price must not exceed $600,000 in total. that's great, it gives you a bit more to spend on your new home.
