For those that have experience with PD, is it similar to their selection where your plans are brought up on the computer and items added/removed with switch locations and costs calculated instantly or is it more a scribble on your plans with pencil approach?? I have reworked the electrical plan myself and found with PD it was great to go room by room and move GPO's add 2way switches etc. and the fact it was costed as we went meant we could stay within our budget easily. It's a very different experience to PD where you go to an Argus consultant who could barely stay awake. Your colour consultant takes you through the electrical as well, but it's also on a room by room basis. Ours was fantastic and actually had more knowledge than the Argus guy at PD, suggesting things we hadn't thought of, such as junction boxes for future garden lighting, water features and two-way switches at really sensible points. Our consultant openly disclosed the price of each item and we kept a running tally to TRY to stay on budget (unsuccessfully though). Other priorities such as sound-proofing for our extra hundred here, extra hundred there....
