I have not yet had an inspection (only just had slab poured) but was advised they will need about 5 days notice. The inspection will also have to be scheduled with your SS, so next time you speak with your SS just mention that you are keen to get an independent inspector at (insert stage here). Then when its closer to that stage being completed, just remind your SS and work out a date that works best, scheduled the inspection and that should be it Good luck! Cheers Heath huntclubber Hi guys, Need your expertises in hiring a private inspector. My site is scheduled to be start by end of next week. I am planning to hire a private inspector for 2 stage (pre-plaster and pre-handover). Who do I contact to have this organized? my CLE or SS? also when do I need to organize this? Do you guys know of any good people and what's the standard prize for these things? Your responses will be much appreciated. Thanks, Huntclubber Thanks for the info htennant. Appreciate it. Re: The CARLISLE HOMES & SPECTRA General Information Thread 1698Oct 07, 2010 11:55 am Carlisle Homes should have a referral program giving incentives to clients who successfully referred customers to build with them. I have 2 friends who became interested after telling them about Carlisle and they finally signed up a couple of weeks ago. I have another one whose out to visit Carlisle display homes this weekend and quite keen to sign up too. I've got the tender contract signed with Carlise mid last month to build the Atlantique 32. I've been following this forum in the last few days. Your posts are very helpful. I'm quite nervous about building a new home. Especially when I was pushed to sign the HIA contract today, Thursday, (which I've cancelled it due to insufficient time to go through the documents) and the contract was couriered to me late Tuesday afternoon only after I'd requested a copy to go through in advance. At first the CLE was happy to move the date to next week. Then few hours later, she said that her manager wanted me to make it tomorrow for the contract meeting. This really made me very uncomfortable to sign the contract. An extra day off from work was not approved so I can't make it anyway. Now my contract meeting has been rescheduled to next Wednesday. Cheers o_o Re: The CARLISLE HOMES & SPECTRA General Information Thread 1700Oct 07, 2010 12:35 pm Hi All Has anyone of you engaged newhomeinspections for the pre-contract document review service? Is it really needed or should I trust Carlisle on this one? Thank you for your help. o_o 0 4984 We are at the stage on our build in Kilcoy, Queensland where we need to get our fencing installed but we cant get any contact details for our neighbours to give them… 0 6161 You should check your detail drawings, it may show downpipe within brick pier. 14 14109 |
