I received a call from Carlisle saying the pegs are not there and they are going to re-survey the land and they will raise a variation of $830 (Apparently as per the contract). What should I do? Thanks. Also, have you heard any incidents where Carlisle asked the land owner to mow the land before they start building? or shouldn't this be part of the fixed site cost? Re: The CARLISLE HOMES & SPECTRA General Information Thread 1657Sep 15, 2010 4:36 pm sarahq Haha your post made me laugh Reinsey!! It's all sooo true Rock, paper, scissors always wins out and the budget constantly gets "revised" Good luck with it all. Hopefully you will get a site start soon! Hi Sarahq, Just wondering how you went with the expansion joint issue in your laminate flooring. Did you have to keep it or did they end up replacing it with something else? Have had lots of lovely compliments from friends and family that have visited we need more furniture though! Some time I will get around to adding pics. Need to take some! Sanmark - we ended up with an expansion joint still they changed it to a smaller one that was more rounded and the same colour as the floor. To be honest, we don't even notice it now! It's not been an issue at all since we moved in. Building Monaco32 with Carlisle Homes in Alamanda Estate 20/08/2010 - HANDOVER 24/8!! We were given a site start in mid August and it’s being a painful wait since then. Some of the adjacent lots had their slabs poured during this time, obviously by other builders, so I don’t believe it really is due to weather. If it is due to the backlog, I cannot understand why they cannot at least give us an expected start date. Has anyone experienced same sort of delays with Carlisle ? Re: The CARLISLE HOMES & SPECTRA General Information Thread 1660Sep 17, 2010 5:53 pm I had hand over today! Everything is perfect apart from a few minor cosmetic issues.
