Good luck to all of you I will be watching and will help out with any comments when I can. We have been in our home about 7months now and love it so happy we went with Carlisle But you will have times when you feel like just think of the big picture and what your going to have at the end Also when you get a chance to go on site if something dont look right ask your SS about it and take pictures of it they might come in handy down the line if there is a problem Site Cut 8/04/12 Slab 13/04/12 Frame 18/04/12 Roof 07/05/12 Lock Up 06/06/12 Keys 30/08/12 Re: The CARLISLE HOMES & SPECTRA General Information Thread 3657Apr 06, 2013 12:32 pm Thanks Xjohnno and coobri! Definitely looking forward to exchange ideas and experiences with everyone ! Just some food for thoughts - If anyone is interested in any upgrades from the display homes and are unsure of the colours, categories or pricing of items, you can request for an "Optional Display Items" list from your Sales Consultant. The list might be a little outdated because the pricing was based at the time the display home was built, however, it does give you an indication of what pricing to expect. There will be changes in colour categories and standard inclusions that are now optional upgrades or vice versa. I used this method to break down the "As Displayed" packages to see if it was cheaper to upgrade particular items or take the packages instead. Xjohnno - Downlights can be done after handover. You'll only need the light battens in place where you want the downlights to be. I currently have 30 LED downlights included in the sales quotation (15 LEDs from As Display "Impressions" package and 15 LEDs for free as part of March special offer), however, depending on the light output, I might install them later on as well . By the way, as promised, here are some of the item pricing: - NBN Co. Preparation pack $900 - Remote control Garage with 3 transmitters and single power point $738 - Starfire glass splashback to Kitchen $744 - Category 1 40mm Caesarstone upgrade to kitchen island and waterfall $1,280 - Category 1 20mm Caesarstone upgrade to Bathroom $785 - Category 1 20mm Caesarstone upgrade to Ensuite $1,241 + Category 1 40mm Caesarstone upgrade $104 - Category 1 20mm Caesarstone upgrade to Laundry $568 - Towel storage provision to Ensuite vanity $168 - 4 zone Security System with 3 motion sensors $865 - Capped cold water point to fridge $256 - Capped gas point to Alfresco $340 - Capped hot and cold water points to Alfresco $881 - Single Windsor 21 clear glazed entry door $148 - Open shelf and wine rack to fridge space $560 - Alternative laminate colour to island bench, overhead cupboards and wine rack $213 - Painted feature colour to one wall $192 - Painted feature colour to two walls $383 *Please note that these pricing are based on my house specific* The T Range - Geneva 20 by Carlisle Homes Build Thread: Coming soon... Re: The CARLISLE HOMES & SPECTRA General Information Thread 3658Apr 06, 2013 5:42 pm Thanks guys. Yes I'm leaning towards the idea of having batten points in places where we would like to get the down lights, then replace later for much less cost. "Smart Wiring" is something which I still cant decide wht to do. I badly want the house to be future proof and have pre-wiring done. But when I look at the cost provided by Carlisle it's way too high. I guess smart wiring after handover may not cause lot of grief or damage to the property in terms of drilling and stuff. Is that right? Lot of ppl say post wiring can be expensive but by the looks of it i dont see like that. any comments? Harishka Re: The CARLISLE HOMES & SPECTRA General Information Thread 3659Apr 06, 2013 6:48 pm If you are doing a single story it's not to hard to add post handover. We just took the package the estate required. The box in the garage has more points in it which means they can be added in the future. With high speed Internet you really don't need that many Ethernet points as wireless does the trick anyway. With high speed Internet you really don't need that many Ethernet points as wireless does the trick anyway. I thought that box was un-accessable? Well at least for Vic Urban I know its is. The only reason why I'd much rather Wired Ethernet points rather than Wireless is Streaming HD content is much better over Wired rather than wireless. meMYKEI, I'm now thinking of just adding in the batten points and then get my mate in and convert them later on. That Saves me about $100 per Point...
