They are so cute. My target sucks in comparisson to yours, that or I just don't have enough time to look properlly. Likely it is the time thing. The plantation shutters - yes we are crazy, we have just taken delivery of 9 more to finish of the house. So lots of painting in my future! Re: all the sand - FINAL INVOICE $7.61 hahahaha 236Aug 17, 2010 8:55 am Bummer about the stormwater V - I thought you meant you just needed a rainwater tank (and must have been getting seriously ripped off if that was influencing your flooring decision). 3k sounds like a pretty good deal for stormwater + 2,000L tank. all the sand We have booked in our walkthrough for the 23rd I'm having a walkthrough on the 23rd too! Ok Ok...mine is just a general trot around the place with the SS not PCI! Re: all the sand - PCI Monday! Keys Thursday 237Aug 20, 2010 2:23 pm Hi all, So im still having issues actually getting quotes from people, i just dont understand it i mean the concreters are looking at getting $7000-$9000 from me why dont they just seem to keen to give me a bloody quote, same goes for stormwater guys and rain water tank people. I have messaged the first company back regarding the rainwater tank to confirm that they were including all rainwater and to confirm that the overflow is to go back to the pit? and he told me i would definately here back from them yesterday and still havent heard a thing. Its driving me insane, the longer these idiots take to put the rainwater tank in, the longer i have to wait for concrete and therefore the longer it is till i can actually move in to this house. ANyway on a better note i think im going to go and order a lounge for the family room this afternoon or tomorrow, and i guess i better make a decision on flooring soon as well. I think im going to attempt to lay some laminate floorboards in the garage myself as we are turning this into a massive playroom for the girls. Surely being a nice square room it can be that hard........... Steg - You made me laugh re: your walkthrough comment, i hope your house is going well. Cant wait to hear all about it on Monday. Im not sure if the house is supposed to be clean for this walkthrough cause at the moment its an absolute pigsty, there is dirt everywhere, bricks definately need to be cleaned it just looks horrible at the moment. Well ill post pics later of any purchases i make today or tomorrow.....best thing about building this house was the new furniture that came with it, i have never ever had a new lounge suite, in my old house i had my mum and dads old lounge at first, then we swaped that over for a friends lounge that they were getting rid of and was much more modern. I cant wait to actually have my own new lounge suite that no one has ever used before!! V Re: all the sand - PCI Monday! Keys Thursday 238Aug 23, 2010 1:22 pm Hi all, Well PCI was done today and everything is looking great they just have to put the showerscreens on and the mirrors and there was a few little paint touchups and some touchups to be done in the slab but other than that it was all looking fantastic. We get the keys on Thursday so will prob start to slowly move some things in over the next week and then do the big move the following weekend. The carpets are getting installed on Friday and im still undecided about flooring for the rest of the house. We are going to try and lay some laminate flooring in out garage (which will be the girls playroom) and see how we go, if its fairly easy then we might do that for the rest of the house, there isnt really and tricky corners so that might be the go. Still having troubles with stormwater and water tank etc, the first guy who originally quotes $2500 then went to $3000 then ended up going to $4350 so we told him to bugger off. I need to get something done asap though so that they can get to doing the driveway. So its all happening and now there are hundreds of things to organise but im so excited to bee finally getting my own space again!! I didnt really take any pics today cause nothing has really changed but i do have pics of my turquoise accessories that i have bought over the last few days, i have been hunting for ages and finally found some that i loved. The best bargain was the biggest one, we went into harvey norman to look for a tv cabinet and i caught a glimpse of it on the clearance table reduced from $159 to $40 so walked out with a vase and no cabinet. Is it worth asking the builder if they can recommend anyone to do stormwater? contract signed: Nov 09 Released to Construction: 23 Jul 10 Slab poured: 9 Aug 10 Frame completed: 30 Aug 10 Windows & Gutters: 7 Sep 10 Bricks: 15 - 23 Sep 10 Roof: 24 Sep 10 Gyprock: 20 Oct 10 Lockup: 25 Oct 10 Kitchen: 27 Oct 10 Tiling: 6 - 9 Nov 10 Painting: 17 Nov 10 Carpet: 30 Nov 10 PCI: 15 Dec 10 Handover: 17 Dec 10 https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=35943 Re: all the sand - PCI Done, and a bit of shopping!! 240Aug 25, 2010 9:10 am Keys tomorrow...can't believe how quick your build has been! I'm glad PCI went well - did they end up giving it a proper clean? I'm putting a new floor in my kitchen, slate flagging on a standard concrete slab. I have allowed for a bed thickness of up to 20mm to accommodate the different… 0 17545 2 4356 2 8888 |
