Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Somerfield Estate Keysborough 1890Feb 24, 2012 8:34 am J & C Does $55 per square metre sound like a competitive price for a capped wooden fence. That's what I paid after getting several quotes. Milesy. PS. Someone buy my house! Re: Somerfield Estate Keysborough 1893Feb 25, 2012 11:41 am Hi I Have a question relating 6 star energy rating. I have signed a contract with my builder and am in the process of building approvals. The energy rater has added $9000 worth of requirements to achieve a 6 star energy rate. My house was advertised as 6 star to begin with...has any one had a similar shock....the requirements are double glazed windows for the majority of north facing house and extra insulation....does that seem far fetched, as far as I know we don't get any SNOW in Keysborough right???? Re: Somerfield Estate Keysborough 1894Feb 26, 2012 7:00 am vantos J & C Can someone please let me know the normal slabs in stages 11,12,13...whether it is class M or H Class M with concrete pierings required throughout. We need H slab on our block Re: Somerfield Estate Keysborough 1895Feb 27, 2012 3:11 pm J & C Jen06 Have people from previous stages ever looked into forming a "movement" to push the developer to get a wriggle on?? They're perfectly happy to push us for deposits, why shouldn't we push back Im sure its also frustrating for people already living in the Estate to be constantly surrounded by delayed construction Let us know if you want to start that "movement" we are in! Unfortunately I am clueless as to how to initiate something like that Even who is really in charge is far from straight forward, there's the Real estate and marketing through Red 23 The developer is Intrapac but then there is even a second developer in partnership with Intrapac... Where would you begin!?!?!? The delays are costing them money too, so I'm sure they are getting it done as quickly as possible, they have just put unrealistic release dates on it to secure the sales, then deal with any fallout later. A great solution would be to by my house, already finished in Stage 1A. (worth a shot). Milesy. Re: Somerfield Estate Keysborough 1897Feb 28, 2012 4:01 pm Seems to be a lot of people selling up in Somerfield for a brand new estate. Surely its not to make money as prices are down and not a good time to sell. 3 in Farithorne; a few in Clarendon, 2 or 3 in Hartwell and a couple on Somerfield Drive itself. Are people running out of money or getting away from Somerfield?! Re: Somerfield Estate Keysborough 1899Mar 01, 2012 9:23 am Anyone in Stage 27b? My first time in this forum. Thought it would be good to catch up with other somerfielders. I would like to say, I am getting annoyed with the delay. Now that summer is gone, i think all the stages are going to be delayed even longer.. just look at this weather. So i would suggest you add 5-6 months to the original date. |
