Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Somerfield Estate Keysborough 1529Jul 05, 2011 10:59 am Mala ourplace Hi Mala Did you get that news from the developers? I think we are all a little frustrated (to say the least) with Stage 10 delays. If the 2 weeks actually happens then I guess when are looking at the end of July / first week of August for settlement? I think we will all be relieved when we can finally start building and stop paying builder late fees! Good luck to everyone else in Stage 10 Hi I spoke to the site manager, he advised me they are 80% done and it looks like they will have it completed in one to two weeks. I call everyday. lol I am sure they are sick of me calling. Good Luck Thanks Mala for your follow up with site manager...we are also on stage 10 and desperately waiting for the land to be titled...If we don’t start building house by Aug 31st, my builder is going to charge another 2500$ ...Please, Somerfield don’t delay any more...U already delayed from March to June and then to July, no more dramas please... We builder done 1st soil test and it came up as M or H class didn’t remember exactly, now 2nd soil test is due... Re: Somerfield Estate Keysborough 1531Jul 05, 2011 12:22 pm I noticed that too. There is a massive one that looks horrible off Somerfield drive south. Also non-permeable driveways are going in everywhere, with a single colour. is that aloud now too? Re: Somerfield Estate Keysborough 1532Jul 05, 2011 1:46 pm The one you mention Miles we can see from our place and it looks awful. Do you know if they do a follow up and check these sort of things. Driveways, do not talk to me about that, ours is going to be ebony concrete but our plans would not be passed until we have 20% other permeable product, so will will have Riverstone pavers in it. Re: Somerfield Estate Keysborough 1533Jul 05, 2011 3:07 pm I'm assuming people are just doing it, with out approval? Re: Somerfield Estate Keysborough 1534Jul 05, 2011 3:21 pm ourplace Thanks Mala for your reply, could you possibly send me a personal message with the site managers contact details? We seem to be completely out of the loop with updates. Thanks for your help, ourplace did u get my email? Re: Somerfield Estate Keysborough 1536Jul 06, 2011 9:17 am the_milesy I noticed that too. If you choose exposed aggregation driveway and you are no longer required to have two cuts in the driveway according to DAP's update. You can contact DAP and they will send you the latest guideline. Hi Guys.. i've been watching your chat with interest... i'd also like to know who the site supervisor is on Stage 10.... I only seem to be able to talk to the land office and they can't tell me much at all... I was told yesterday that it's in compliance stage and it's probably still towards the end of the month before anything else happens.. Although they did tell me the builders have been informed of whats happening and the land was ready for them to start soil tests and the like on 4th July.... I emailed my builder but haven't got a response yet Re: Somerfield Estate Keysborough 1539Jul 08, 2011 9:25 am Hi guys we are stage 10ers too. We purchased our land last May so you can imagine how desperate we are to start building! We are building with porter Davis and have organized soil tests to be done. We were told settlement may happen mid July. We have everything ready just getting desperate to start! I think a big neighborhood celebration should be on the agenda when we move in. |
