Re: I need splashback ideas - please 72Oct 31, 2009 8:38 pm Hi there, I thought Id put my 2cents worth in too... I like/love Frothing Mocha OR the Java Dusk aswell. Although we are going with the mirrored glass splash back which in our display house n as soon as I saw it I new thats what I wanted It looks fab Purchased land:08/08 Tender signed : 07/09 Approval from bank: 07/05/09 Contracts signed -09/09 House plan:Willowbrook 290 AVJ http://steevie-lee.blogspot.com Re: I need splashback ideas - please 73Nov 01, 2009 2:53 am The poles are currently "Soft Impala" We will be changing paint colours in the room to - Walls - China White + Beige Royal Poles - Porcelain Figurine We will be removing the yucky wood look verticals and replacing them with a sheer fabric possibly a soft grey or charcoal. In regards to the splash back, I want the wowser factor, but also something that is not going to over power everything. Am I wanting too much here???? Re: I need splashback ideas - please 75Nov 01, 2009 3:44 pm what about a picture splashback, you can even use your own pic.something like this http://www.glasssplash.com/ printed film applied to glass Re: I need splashback ideas - please 76Nov 01, 2009 6:46 pm Angelblue Impatient - no its solid wood "Spotted Gum" with a semi gloss finish. It does look pretty swish even If I do say so myself Its exactly what we want! Can I ask -sorry its off the track a bit- why did the timber go in after the kitchen? We are renovating - it started with a new kitchen but the floors have taken over - which order do we do it in? i thought if you were getting a solid timber floor it would go in first - then the kitchen, then it would be sanded and finished - if its floating - the kitchen can't sit on it so it went in last. if you or anyone can tell me the reasons behind this it would be great! Re: I need splashback ideas - please 77Nov 02, 2009 12:49 am Impatient - I have heard of it happening both ways. But for us it was more of a timing issue. The kitchen guys were ready to go, and we had'nt finished ripping up all the floor tiles. It was a massive job. So we decided to let the kitchen people do their thing while we finished off the floor. Then when the next school holidays came around we went on two weeks holiday while the floors guys did their thing. The one thing I have learnt through all of the renovations is that the best laid plans never seem to go as you think. As you can probably tell from the picture. We still dont have the bulk head in either... Re: I need splashback ideas - please 78Nov 02, 2009 6:59 am thanks for that - if it was up to me my kitchen would have been done before christmas but we put it off because DH is still sorting out the floors and wants it down before the kitchen!
