After our initial shock fom our original landscaping quote we are thinking of doing alot of it ourselves.
We will need to call in the experts to excavate/level the front and back yards in preperation for lawn though.
I just spoke to a company who said they charge $85.00 per hour for bobcat/tiptruck work. Tip costs are not included as this gets quoted when they can actually see what sort of soil/material is on site that needs to be removed.
Is this a standard/fair price? Also how long do people think they would be on site for. The front yard area is roughly 7m deep x 12m wide and the backyard area approx 8m deep x 15.24m wide.
I'm just trying to gage a rough idea as to how long such jobs take.
At a guess I would have thought 3-4 hours - so I would probably be looking at about $600 or so which is manageable, but I have no clue and might get a shock if they are there all day and I get a bill for thousands.
Thought I'd ask the experts
