You won't have enough space over the top of the window for the lintel (it would be sticking through your roof). Thanks for that, would you happen to know what would the max height I could squeeze in would be. The windows are custom sized to whatever height requirements I like. I will also check with my builder who was not sure what size I could fit in Cheers Michael He wants a dream home theatre - she wants a dream kitchen! The windows are custom sized to whatever height requirements I like. It would depend on the width of each window (and therefore the lintel size as required by the engineer). It would also depend on roof pitch and eaves overhang, if you have them. You are trying to find out how much clearance you have over the window/s in order to fit them in, and all these things need to be factored in. Usually windows sit on the bottom plate which means they need to be 40mm shorter than the doors which stand on the slab. So windows 2360, doors 2400. I will have to speak with the builder and get the engineer to come up with max size to go with. Upgrade to 2700 high ceilings $7000.00 ouch.......rather spend it on windows. Re: 2400 window height with a 2550 ceiling 8Sep 07, 2009 1:46 pm nomad I would say you could go up to a 2300 height assuming you have a 450 eave and about 20-22.5 degree roof which is pretty common and will leave you ample room for lintels. Builder has gotten back and informed me I can have 2340 height. Anyway I will not lose any sleep over 60mm. Cheers Michael He wants a dream home theatre - she wants a dream kitchen! Unless the room is for storage then it's non compliant BCA V2 2019 S3 P3.8 You have 2 options 1. The builder deconstructs the section and rebuilds as per plan /… 7 10583 ok thanks - yes was wondering if that should have been listed as Option Three! 2 7701 I'll look into different shower heads and ask the plumber about some engineering and see what he says.
