Hi all
We are in the pre-start stage of our build and are wrapping up some kitchen details. We have gone with 40mm Caesarstone and a frestanding 90cm range. I have chosen an oven which matches the profile of the benchtop - see the pic of the Ilve in this link:

Our builder has advised that the surface of the the cooker needs to be at least 10mm above the surface of the bench, as it needs to be where there is a "combustible surface" (per AS 5601) within 200mm of the periphery of a burner. This all makes sense, but I don't know if Caesarstone is a "combustible surface" for the purpose of the standards.
Does anyone have any information on this? Perhaps a scan from the standard or practical experience?
I'm really reluctant to ruin the line of our benchtop by jacking up our cooker unless necessary.
Thanks
Gus
