Considering the nature of the blinds rolling up and down does the paint potentially crack or peel with time??? If it can be done I guess it would be a cheaper alternative considering the price of replacing them. braveheart Re: Blinds -stuck with wrong colour but already painted walls 13Aug 29, 2009 3:24 pm braveheart JilaMint, Where did you get the idea of spray painting blinds? Actually, I have some (very expensive) blinds - about 6 of them - in a cream colour that I really want to be white now. I have been considering the ESP + semi gloss (via a spray gun) approach. Can't afford to simply replace them as they are only about 8 years old. But it will have to wait until we move back in after the reno. We don't roll them up and down very often at all - we mostly either tilt them open or shut. If you were in the habit of rolling them up and down - then the wear might be an issue on the painted surface. I was really really hoping to convince someone else to give it a go and let me know how it went Re: Blinds -stuck with wrong colour but already painted walls 14Sep 06, 2009 8:23 pm girlfriday hi all, hi how much these shutter blinds cost? any help? I ordered some custom eco shutter blinds from Fr33dom and due to a staff error/some misinformation they have come in a pearl white colour (white but creamy) and not in the bright white (more of a pure white which is a more modern look, I think) that I was expecting and that I was told by the saleperson that they would be in bright white. As I cannot return the custom order blinds I have to keep them but I have already painted my bedroom wall in Dulux Hog Bristle (full strength). I feel rather annoyed that I have wasted time and money and have ended up with blinds that I don't really want and I will probably have to re-paint my walls as I feel like the blinds does not have enough contrast with the wall colour. I'm sorry but I don't know how to post a pic that would explain this much better than I can describe it. + I will go home and compare to my colour chart for the colour that best describes the pearl white as I want now to re-paint the walls and looking for advice/opinions. argh! I am so frustrated with this... Re: Blinds -stuck with wrong colour but already painted walls 15Sep 07, 2009 3:25 pm sikander girlfriday hi all, hi how much these shutter blinds cost? any help?
