What a visual treat Gawsh hasn't it all come together so well, I'm in love with those glass doors looking out into the kitchen, such great atmosphere. I love those silvery tiles on the laundry floor too, beautiful colour. On the render colour, don't you just hate it when colours aren't what you expected I think grey will suit your driveway and garage door better than the blue *high five with the goodie basket!!* DUST-BUSTING TIME! So you guys are painting yourselves? Thank you! We are really happy and have no regrets which is fantastic! I certainly wasnt expecting a blue render thats for sure! I nearly shed a tear when I saw it - was just such a shock! I can laugh about it now. We have chosen a very light grey that we found on a show home and it looked lovely. Fingers crossed! Love the goodie basket Yeah, we have a bit of a "painting party" this weekend and have friends/family all helping out to paint it! Re: Building - RedInk Homes Perth - WE HAVE KEYS!! 338Apr 16, 2010 11:16 pm Dollar Jessica, congrats! Nice to see you have window coverings up too. I like your facade blue. I think it matches nicely. Very exciting. Enjoy your new home. Thanks Dollar! Much appreciated Re: Building - RedInk Homes Perth - WE HAVE KEYS!! 339Apr 16, 2010 11:20 pm We just finished painting the non-tiles areas - 1 coat of Dulux sealer-binder to prime the plaster, 2 coats of Dulux Wash-and-Wear - and all I can say is: take the time to prepare your surface well The difference between a wall that we did a quick spak-fill and check, and a wall where we sanded lightly, picked up and filled all the little chips, dusted and wiped down is PHENOMENAL. You really don't see all the little plaster chips until you take the time to sand and clean down the walls. GOOD LUCK! Re: Building - RedInk Homes Perth - WE HAVE KEYS!! 340Apr 16, 2010 11:42 pm Congrats Jess. Wow I love your bamboo flooring.....which company did that and what colour is it? We're deciding on bamboo floor as well and might get the bamwood mocha from bamboozle. Just not too sure whether the mocha would be too dark. 12 March 2010 - Land titles received 3 April 2010 - Signed building contract 14 April 2010 - Prestart 28 April 2010 - Loan approved 30 June 2010 - Slab completed 27 August 2010 - Brickwork completed 22 September 2010 - Roofing completed 30 September 2010 - Internal walls plastered 12 October 2010 - Lock Up 19 November 2010 - PCI 26 November 2010 - Handover 29 December 2010 - Moved In https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=32584 You have mandatory building inspections and privately engaged building inspections.
