Needless to say we were very careful prior to contract that we were as happy as possible with our plans and selections before we signed the contract so that we wouldn't have to make any variations later. We paid a $500 variation fee to add an extra gas point (plus the cost of the actual gas point) because we added it on once we'd already signed off on our colours selections; this was before we'd signed the actual contract.
