Is a decision that needs research and it's no great shakes to install post build We are in a simillar situation ,quite happy to fit in our own refridgirated cooling and gas heating now our worry is how can we get our builder to add wiring that will accomodate these to systems so that when the installers come in the wiring is already there Re: Builder and Evap Cooling they include 5Aug 26, 2009 3:27 pm Going to confuse you some more here but central air and heating should also be looked at. Because you use the same heat pump or inverter for both cooling and heating it may be cheaper. Also it is in the roof and all plumbing is in wall and out of site. Obviously the running costs are probably dearer but i find if you don't go excessive temperatures it is very affordable. I find 22 degrees in summer and around 18 in winter quite ok. Looking at that i think 1 of my 2 thermostas in wrong, but that is the settings. Shop around though as there are many evaperative systems and they are very different in quality. In previous homes I have used Breeze Air and also Aqua Breeze. For our comfort and price we will most likely go the Aqua Breeze route again.
