Rocks below 1100 shouldnt be an issue. borg why is that? they told us they have to dig down 2.5m to put the sewerage in? then pipes to connect to the house and thats where they expect to hit rock? Re: 31Mar 27, 2009 4:45 pm willow04 We are building with PD and they sent us our soil results straight away. Both spots that were drilled and tested hit rock about a metre deep (most have rocks i believe in Craigieburn) but the land is very flat which is good. How many soil tests are done?? We've had a preliminary but apparently that is an estimate until the site inspection is completed? Either way they havent given us a price for either.. and whats the different between soil testing and site inspection? Im confused! -------------------------------------------------------- Building in Highlands Craigieburn Status: Building the Laundryless 25.5: Slab Complete Re: Highlands Estate Craigieburn 32Mar 28, 2009 7:43 pm A quick question to everyone who is building with Stockland, Do you know that there is a requirement from Stockland in which you have to increase front of house to create 844 mm setback from house to garage and 4m2 porch ? if you know about this then hows your house drawing looks like after this ? does it change lots of stuff ? Re: Highlands Estate Craigieburn 33Mar 29, 2009 9:31 am We have built with this requirement in Stocklands @ Craigieburn and this is what the front of our house looks like. That's pretty standard for all Stockland estates, and builders can easily accommodate the requirement if the existing house plan doesn't already suit. We didn't have to change anything with our house, since our garage already had a 1m setback from the front of the house and our portico was already an adequate size.
