Can anyone recommend an electrician for the area. We have about 7 ceiling fans and a few lights that need to be installed plus a couple of airiel points and quite a few power points to be done. 2. Anyone used Beacon Electrical's electrician service? We got most of our stuff from Beacon & we noticed we can extend the warranty on our ceiling fans by 1 yr if we use them...Not sure if they'd be overpriced etc 3. What is everyone doing for lighting under their alfresco area? We have just the one point in the centre and I'm not sure whether to work with that, or put a fluro up or use that centre point for a ceiling fan and then install 4 downlights under the area. By winter next year we will more than likely put bistro blinds around the alfresco also so it would be a little more weather proof to extend the annual usage period Any thoughts? Thanks. My Neighbours land is 1.4m higher then mine and they want to put a double story 1 meter from the boundary. Itll over shadow my house by about 5m. Just want to check if this is allowed before i approach the council? Thanks. Here is the link - I think the overshaddowing will be of interest to you - but you may find other things that of importance as well... Having said that if you house is not complete you may not be able to appeal this... http://www.whittlesea.vic.gov.au/buildi ... t-approval Look at this section - Overshadowing of secluded private open space 418 DaMatt -- Built Henley's Monaco Q1 Mernda Villages Re: Ladies and Gents, step right up! They are working on our Street next week what the hell was wrong with that road anyway.. it is only 2 years old! Re: Ladies and Gents, step right up! Can't help with the first two questions, but the third... we have a ceiling fan (no light) and 4 downlights spaced around it. I guess it depends on the size of your alfresco area and also on what other lighting you have nearby? Re: Ladies and Gents, step right up! We are still considering the down lights, our alfresco is rectangular at 3.5 x 5.5 m and we saw these today (http://www.beaconshop.com.au/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=shop.flypage&sku=230306&category_id=37&manufacturer_id=0&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=1) which we thought would look good on either side of the fan and we could direct them as we please. I think you can get a fan and a light combo one, it will look modern. Some use T5 fluro and some use halogen globes/ fluro globes. Like that http://www.lightingillusions.com.au/sho ... lcd-remote Another type is a fan with 3 or 5 light combo . http://www.lightingillusions.com.au/sho ... lcd-remote Spring is here! Hurray!
