Nonna's Nest House set for completion November 2013 Re: Show me your kitchen... 2665Apr 03, 2014 5:05 pm Newbie here. Decided to join cos my partner will start renovating his house in the country and i get to share input! Anyway, beautiful kitchens guys! Love each one of them! I have always thought that I would have the sink/s on the island bench but we will put them instead where the splashback is. My partner said that it is good to have the sink/s on the island bench so you are facing people while washing stuff but he also said that he just does not want to worry about water spilling on the other side of the bench and says that that is what the splashback is for. And it kinda makes sense so no more sink/s on the island bench for me. Will do a lot of backreading, it is such a treat to see these kitchens and to get some inspiration and ideas. Check out our kitchen for one solution. I wanted to be able to watch tv while standing at the kitchen sink but DH wasn't keen on water splashing over the bench. We have put a 30cm high tiled wall behind the sink but still have the breakfast bar that was on our must have list... The colour scheme you have chosen is very similar to what are looking at for our kitchen in our new house. Can I please ask what floor tiles you have chosen? They look great. We have now decided though that there will be nothing on the island bench. We will look for a really gorgeous bench that will be a beauty on its own and make it just one massive, clear workspace with no sink/tap on it. I have just bumped into this website recently and did not realise that there are other forums here that discuss already about sink or no sink on island bench. Re: Show me your kitchen... 2676Apr 28, 2014 8:41 pm Mclaren Yummmmm .... looks fab!! do you mind telling me where you got your clock? The clock came from Living Emporium 637 Marshall Rd, Malaga I was eyeing something similar on eBay but couldn't decide weather to go red or black (the other one was red) but when I saw this one I grab it $39.99. I ended up ordering the other one as well for $26 I decided that I could then hold both of them up and sell the other one on gumtree. I'm living the black at the moment especially with the SS centre so at this stage I will have a nice red one for sale soon Design by Greater Concept Build by Premiere Homes Design by Greater Concept - modified version Evolution Court Build by Premiere Homes My build viewtopic.php?f=31&t=64854 Re: Show me your kitchen... 2677Apr 28, 2014 8:53 pm 1st-Build52 @butterbing I'm really loving he end product.
