Long time reader, first time poster
I'm about to buy a land in Craigieburn and would like to build a house straight afterward.
Seeing how amazing display homes are, I'm afraid that those builders might not build my home and following the same quality used with their homes.
I have few questions rearding building my first home,
Quote:
1) What are the best deals going around now ? It seems that Metricon are offering $42K (including the Government grant), Hanely seems to offering good quality equipment to the new home by slashing $30K, and Simonds are offering $13K only.
2) How much on the top of the advertised Land and Home should I expect to spend ? (Government and council fees).
3) I heard that it's appopriate to pay an inspector while building the house. How do inspectors work ? Do they visit the site every day ? Where can I find one in the Northern Suburbs of Melbourne ?
4) Any good solicitors who could inspect my contract before signing it ?
5) Is Ikea the ideal place for a low budget and modern furniture ?
6) Any advice that you guys would like to add ?
