Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Dec 17, 2008 10:16 pm Does anyone know of a good, fast tree removal company? Our builder remarked on the lack of storage space at our site, and then I realised that there was a tree that was approved for removal that, once gone, would leave him with lots of room. Our slab got poured today, and the frame is arriving on Friday. I'd like the tree gone tomorrow. If anyone has any recommendations, I would appreciate it.

Ok. I only met him once but never used him. I can't tell you if he is any good. The reason I mention him because he turned up to my site within a few hours after I called him for a quote. He gave me some good advice even though he got no business from me. The reason why I didn't use him later on because the demolition company I used already included tree removal service. Building Clarendon Brighton - Done and moved in Sept 2009 Re: Tree removal - Sydney North Shore 3Dec 17, 2008 11:09 pm Won't you need council approval first though? Re: Tree removal - Sydney North Shore 5Dec 18, 2008 7:33 am I would just try the yellow pages then. We are getting our demo guys to do our trees as well. Re: Tree removal - Sydney North Shore 6Dec 18, 2008 12:19 pm I used Matt Tree Services //www.mattstreeservices.com.au. They are North Shore Based. They under quoted for the job which was to remove 30mtr Blue Gum, plus stump grinding to a meter down. Fortunately they accepted they made a mistake and did the job for the quoted price. Make sure you have ALL the council docs as they wont do the job if you dont have them on hand. Re: Tree removal - Sydney North Shore 7Dec 18, 2008 10:43 pm I ended up emailing/calling a few places, and only one guy got back to me. He quoted the job this morning, and is removing the tree at 7.30am tomorrow. I thought his quote ($380) was pretty reasonable for the size of the tree. I'll let you know tomorrow how it goes.
