It happened to us before that one day, we found the installed ground floor bathroom door disappeared. Asked the SS what happened, he said another house with the same door were close to hand over and have problem with the door but can't get it from supplier on time, and at that stage we were still way before hand over, that's why they used ours to fix the problem.... I certainly hope not!! If so, that means my SS is ****** to me. This is no good because we still have a long way together before completion!!! If this is really the case, I am going to track that house down and steal the bricks back, one by one Building Clarendon Brighton - Done and moved in Sept 2009 Re: Boral lost my bricks!!!??!!! 15Dec 13, 2008 3:12 pm I'm a bit confused, don't they order and deliver all the bricks at the same time? I think we got our bricks all at once, not in batches. We had one delivery of bricks for the first level. When they were all laid, then we had another delivery of bricks that should cover the second level. Yea, I think all bricks should be delivered all at once to avoid this problem. But, I think the order indicates which batch of bricks they came from so the second delivery should also be from the same batch. Maybe someone close to the bricks industry can offer some insight?? I am still waiting to hear from the boral rep to understand more about the situation. I think we got our bricks all at once, not in batches. We only got first 1/2 of bricks delivered at start of bricking. The rest were on backorder. this does sound very familiar with my Story with Clarendon.. the bricks were out of production the day we were expecting them! I would expect that if the builder is doing a good job, the order would be placed 30 days before brickwork can begin and the brick supplier would allocate this stock at the yard or brickyard. This is common sense ... If the brick is out of stock you can get the oppurtunity to reselect without impacting on the project schedule... But then with Clarendon nothing is simple and evrything is hard.. I reselected my brick as soon as I heard about this but Clarendon tried telling me they would get thier senior most manager to speak to the senior most manager at Austral and they can make things happen.. Nothing happended we lost 3 weeks and we used the reselected bricks. I hope you have better luck with Boral, and do inform Clarendon thier stuff ups appear on the web and will effect them. Probaly you are the lucky one, as may be your site has a huge open area for them to dump all the bricks in one go, which is not always the case for most sites. Or may be they did come in more than 1 batch but you didn't notice it? Doesn't matter, as longs as all the bricks in the same colour/batch it should be ok. Ours arrived in 2 batches. That sucks! Hope it all works out.
